Comparisons of US ERDL and Woodland
The Woodland pattern introduced in 1981 by the US Armed Forces is an enlargement of the ERDL pattern.

Above: Comparison of a pair of trousers and a jacket made in brown ERDL and lime ERDL respectively. The lime ERDL was introduced first and the brown ERDL later. The black pattern is slightly thicker on the brown ERDL in this case.

Above: comparison of the lime ERDL and the post-Vietnam ERDL. Note that the black pattern is much thicker on the post-Vietnam ERDL.

Above: Comparison of the brown ERDL and the post-Vietnam ERDL. Again note the thicker black drawings in the pattern.

Above: Comparison of the Woodland pattern introduced in 1981 and the post-Vietnam ERDL pattern it replaced. The Woodland pattern is repeated every 62 cms vertically, the ERDL every 38 cms. The woodland is about a 1.6 enlargement of the ERDL pattern.

Above: Comparison of the lime ERDL of the Vietnam War and the Woodland pattern used since 1981.
